Welcome, you have just stepped into the world of Leadership Development. The Kensington Internship program is a process that develops and deploys Kingdom leaders all over the globe. From Non-profits, Government, the Kensington Community, and everything in-between, we have had a blast creating one of the most potent and powerful farm clubs of leaders for the future of the Kingdom.
Internships officially begin on August 1st and continue through the first Sunday in June. Interns will commit to a 30-40 hour work week, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Intern Director. Tuesdays and Thursdays are office days. (Classes need to be scheduled accordingly.)
Once accepted, an intern will experience the following three-prong process:
1) Education
Each intern devotes 15 percent of their weekly intern time to an educational process where they will rub shoulders with some of the region’s strongest leaders, learning principles and practices from them in the areas of leadership and theology.
2) Equip
Each intern will devote 10 percent of their week to thinking through their next steps once the internship is over. Whether research or relationship building, this specific time is devoted to developing both strategies and tactics to ensure the intern is ready to move into a higher level of leadership once the process is complete.
3) Empower
The bulk of the internship is hands-on, boots-on-the-ground work This isn’t about getting someone’s coffee or being someone’s secretary. This is about getting high stakes projects and roles within different ministries in which one will flourish and fail, learning from both along the way. We expect great things from our accepted applicants and we haven’t been sorry yet.
Welcome to the Beginning. Proceed with the application process if you dare, safe return is doubtful! Just kidding…..Kind of.
Get ready to learn, while you lead.
